PURPOSE: To enable a resin magnet compact to be obtained with improvements in maximum energy product, molding equipment to be compact, and resin magnet products to be stabilized in quality by compression-molding powdery resin magnet stocks while magnetic fields are impressed by a permanent magnet.

CONSTITUTION: A die 1 having a resin magnet stock compartment 2 opened above and below and a pair of punches 3,4 arranged on the upper and lower sides of the magnet stock compartment 2 of the die 1 are prepared to equip at least either the tips of the upper and lower punches 3,4 or the die to the periphery side of the magnet stock compartment 2 with a permanent magnet 5 and to cast a powdery resin magnet stock 10 made of the mixture of synthetic resin powder and a magnetic powder into the magnet stock compartment 2 of the die 1 with the lower end opening blocked by the lower punch 4; thereafter, the upper punch 3 is forced down from the upper end opening of the same die 1 to compression-mold the powdery resin magnet stock 10 while magnetic fields are impressed by the action of a permanent magnet 5.
