PURPOSE: To enable efficient manufacturing of an integrated unit consisting of an electrolyte and electrode, by forming a electrolytic body based on the doctor blade method, then forming a fuel electrode or an oxidant electrode on one side of the electrolytic body based on the doctor blade method, finally combining them together by pressure.
CONSTITUTION: An electrolytic body tape 2 is formed on a carrier sheet 2 based on doctor blade method, using a slurry composed of a electrolytic body composing material such as a carbonate powder, binder, and solvent. Then, on one side of the tape, a fuel electrode 4 is formed based on the doctor blade method, using a slurry composed of a fuel electrode material powder, binder, and solvent. Further, an oxidant electrode 4 is similarly formed on another electrolytic body tape 2. And by pressure, they are combined together on the electrolytic body side after removing the sheet 1 to be an integrated unit consisting of an electrolyte and electrode. By using this, a fused salt fuel battery is formed. It is therefore possible to obtain an integrated unit consisting of an electrolyte and electrode with good adhesion efficiency and constantly.
