Title:
MANUFACTURE OF SILVER BRAZED CLOISONNE WARE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5950178
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain a fine pattern without causing a shift in position during the sticking of silver foil by directly adhering the foil to the surface of a base material for cloisonne ware and by forming the foil into the desired shape by a photoetching method.

CONSTITUTION: The surface of a base material for cloisonne ware is varnished, and silver foil having many tiny holes pierced by beating with a brass brush is adhered. The varnish transuding to the surface of the foil through the holes is wiped off with cotton impregnated with methanol. The foil is then formed into the desired shape by a photoetching method. Since the copper foil is directly stuck to the surface of the base material for cloisonne ware, the work is carried out simply and easily, and a shift in position is not caused. It is not required to mount cut silver foil on the surface of the base material, so this method gives a finer pattern than a conventional method applying photoetching.
