PURPOSE: To provide interchangeability with a monovalent silver oxide battery by making adhere molded positive mix mainly comprising divalent silver oxide to a long narrow sheet comprising a metal layer and a hot-melt adhesive resin layer and reducing to a silver layer in a reducing solution and cutting it with metal layer and assembling in a battery.
CONSTITUTION: A long narrow sheet 1 is formed with hot-melt adhesive on its upper surface and with metal such as zinc on its lower surface and fed with a guide roller 2. A molded positive mix 3 of AgO powder is intermittently supplied on the sheet 1. The molded mix 3 is pressed with a press pin 4 and a heat plate 5 which is heated at 100°C and bonded on the surface of the sheet 1. They are introduced in a reduction tank 7 containing reduction solution 6, and the upper and side surfaces of the molded mix 3 are reduced. The reduced mix is dried with a dryer 8 and punched with punching dies 9 and 10 together with the resin layer and the metal layer, and placed in a positive can 11 and pressed with a positive ring to form a battery. Therefore, the battery is interchangeable with an Ag2O battery.
