Title:
MANUFACTURE OF SYNTHETIC RESIN MOLDING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH05245931
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To avoid the necessity of a heating furnace of large size and obviate warpages of a base material by heating partially the thermal transfer layer formed part in regard of warpages caused in a thermal transfer layer molding process in the manufacture of a molding in which designs such as logotypes or the like are given by the thermal transfer layer.

CONSTITUTION: The rear panel 1 of an automobile is formed of synthetic resin material and, in the approximately central part thereof, has projected characters 2 representing a logotype of company name, etc. The projected characters 2 are formed by a projected part 3 of height on the order of 0.5mm formed in the body of the rear panel 1 and a thermal transfer layer 4 being thermally bonded on the projected part 3 by hot stamping. The thermal transfer layer 4 is coated with a clear coating layer 5. In a forming process of the thermal transfer layer 4, since the projected part 3 has often warpages caused by partial heating and pressurizing., after forming the thermal transfer layer, hot air generated by a hot air generator is blown partially to the thermal transfer layer formed part by means of a partial annealing machine, to thereby remove warpages of the base material, namely, the projected part 3. After that, clear painting and drying are effected thereto.
