PURPOSE: To obtain an ultrasonic transducer efficiently by cutting a piezoelectric ceramic which is fixed temporarily to a die support base into element in a specific shape by laser work, and connecting a lead wire and installing a cylindrical case.
CONSTITUTION: The discoid piezoelectric ceramic 2 is fixed temporarily on the metallic support base 1 and cut into concentrical parts by laser work. Then, the respectively divided elements 2a, 2b, 2c, and 2d are wired by soldering lead wires 3 and the cylindrical case body 4 is adhered to the ceramic 2 by using a strong adhesive on the basis of the top surface of the support base 1. Further, a liquid packing material 5 is injected into the case body 4. Lastly, the support base 1 is dismanted to complete the annular transducer.
