Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a convenient master gear, which can be employed as an alternative to a master gear in intermeshing test, at a low cost in a short production schedule and to reduce the cost of a die for producing the gear while shortening the production schedule through the use of a convenient master gear thus produced. SOLUTION: Among the accuracy terms of master gear regulated by JIS B 1751 'cylindrtcal master gear for inspection', at least the tooth profile error and the normal pitch error are regarded as undefined quality terms not to be measure and remaining terms are measured. A gear satisfying the remaining terms thus measured is then produced and intermeshing test is performed using two gears thus produced. Consequently, the quality as an alternative to the master gear in intermeshing test is guaranteed and a convenient master gear for intermeshing test is provided. It is employed for checking the finish dimensions of a novel die.
