Abstract:

To provide a low speed internal combustion engine valve excellent in abrasion resistance and high temperature corrosion resistance and available at low cost and top provide a method for manufacturing such low speed internal combustion engine valve allowing reliable production of such valves and providing high productive efficiency.

A precipitation hardening type Ni base alloy material 6 performed in a specific shape is pressurized by pressing an upper mold 7 forming the face side of a shade 3a against a downward stationary lower mold 8b and only the shade 3a is formed by forging a neck round part towards the rear of an upper mold 7b. A method for manufacturing a low speed internal combustion engine valve integrally friction welding the shade 3a to a shaft 4 separately formed and a valve formed under such manufacturing method is obtained.
