Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To mold a regularly shaped packing without burrs and to prevent the packing from being removed without providing an opening in a fitted peripheral surface of the housing.
SOLUTION: A molding space for a packing is formed by advancing a sliding die 27 toward a core part 15 of a fixed die 11, and the packing 7 is molded in advance by filling rubber material in it. If a movable die 12 is moved to close the dies after the sliding die 27 is backed, a molding space 18 for a housing is formed between the both dies 11, 12, the packing 7 is positioned at a designated position in it while staying in the core part 15, and a molding space 29 for a stopper is formed in front. Subsequently, a housing is molded by filling resin material in the space 18 for the housing. Thereby, a waterproof connector, in which the packing 7 is fitted to an inner peripheral surface in the back side of a hood part of the housing and the packing 7 is prevented from being removed by the stopper part, can be obtained.
