Abstract:
PURPOSE: To correctly set the tip of the detecting conductor of a wear detecting probe on a decided position in a housing.
CONSTITUTION: Manufacture of the wear detecting probe is provided with a process to combine a positioning member 3 electrically insulated from a detecting conductor 1 with the decided position of the detecting conductor 1, a process to fix the fixing part 31 formed on the positioning member 3 on the decided position, a process to mold a housing 4 made of synthetic resin in the condition inserted with a part not to contain the fixing part 31 and to contain the detecting part 1a of the detecting conductor 1, and a process to cut off the positioning member containing the fixing part 31 to project outside the molded housing 4. Consequently, reliability of a wear detecting time by means of the wear detecting probe is improved.
