PURPOSE: To enable high-efficient and continuous manufacturing of a coil-shaped substance from a linear material, by a method wherein a rotary member is mounted in a guide member, having a spiral guide path along the inner peripheral surface, so that a gap between the inner peripheral surface of the guide member and the external contact circle of the section of the rotary member does not exceed the diameter of the linear material, and a thermal securing menas is installed.

CONSTITUTION: A hook 14, which can freely s?ide in an axial direction of a rotary plate 1, is attached to the rotary plate 1, and a resin Y engages with the hook 14. With a motor 12 run, a spiral guide 2 turns, the hook 14 moves over the rotary plate 1 along a guide path 2a, the resin Y is wound around the rotary plate 1, and finally the hook reaches the other end of the rotary plate 1 and is pushed by a material formed in a coil for detachment. While the resin Y is moving, it is heated by a heating device 3 to form it into a coil shape similar to the section of the rotary plate 1, and cooled by a cooling device 4 to be formed in a coil. Thus, the hook 14 is detached togetherwith the formed resin Y. This causes continuous forming of the resin Y into the coil-shaped material.
