A dew point gauge 6 and a sucking port 7 and a blowing port 8 for in-furnace gas, which are provided in at least one of a heating zone 1, a soaking zone 2 and a cooling zone 3, are connected with a refiner 11 provided outside a furnace to form gas circulation paths 12 and 13 communicating with the refiner independently for each connected zone. The refiner is operated such that a dew point measured value of the connected zone coincides with a target dew point for each formed gas circulation path. Further, a snout 4 is provided with the dew point gauge 6 and a humidifier 14 for humidifying the inside of the snout 4, and the humidifier is operated such that a dew point measured value of the snout coincides with a target dew point of the snout.
