To enable efficient communication in regard to a manufacturing line radio communication system, which accompanies improved reliability and power saving, and also simplification of facilities related to the communication.
The manufacturing line radio communication system includes radio terminals 4a, 4b, ... moving on a manufacturing line 1 together with each vehicle 2a, 2b, ... which are assembled products, for writing and reading data respectively to/from electronic devices 3a, 3b, ... being mounted on each vehicle, and a line-side apparatus 5 for performing data transmission/reception through radio communication with the radio terminal 4a located at the most upstream on the manufacturing line 1. Each radio terminal has a data transmission/reception function with the line-side apparatus 5 and a data transmission/reception relay function between the radio terminals located before and after the radio terminal of interest. Excluding the radio terminal 4a located at the most upstream point of the manufacturing line 1, other radio terminals perform data transmission and reception with the line-side apparatus 5 via the radio terminal located at the upstream side thereof.
