Abstract:

To provide a manufacturing method of a cellulose acylate film capable of forming the cellulose acylate film having no streak trouble and enhanced in thickness precision and capable of obtaining high optical characteristics by stretching the formed cellulose acylate film.

A molten cellulose acylate resin is extruded in a sheetlike form from a die 24 to be supplied to the nip between a pair of polishing rollers 26 and 28, and the sheetlike extrudate is cooled while held between the pair of polishing rollers 26 and 28 under pressure to form the cellulose acylate film 12. The formed cellulose acylate film 12 is stretched by 1-2.5 times in its longitudinal and lateral directions in a longitudinal stretching process part 16 and a lateral stretching process part 18.
