To provide a manufacturing method of a cellulose acylate film which is further inexpensive and thinner than the film in the prior art, and to provide a liquid crystal display device which shows high front contrast, little change of a visible angle characteristic and little change of an optical property and a color due to a change of environmental humidity.

The manufacturing method of the cellulose acylate film includes a stretch process of peeling and stretching the cellulose acylate film which was solvent-cast on a support in a widthwise direction, the stretch process which shows a temperature of 140°C to 250°C in the vicinity of the film.
