Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a closed deck type cylinder block capable of preventing a gap between a hollow member and a cylinder liner from being excessively increased.SOLUTION: An intermediate member 4 is held between a cylinder liner 2 and a hollow member 3 constituting a water jacket, and in a state where the cylinder liner 2 and the hollow member 3 is kept with a predetermined interval, they are fixed and integrated. The integrated cylinder liner 2 and hollow member 3 are fixed to a cavity C1 of a mold 20. Molten metal is injected to the cavity C1 of the mold 20 to insert-cast the integrated cylinder liner 2 and hollow member 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
