To provide a manufacturing method of a crosslinked olefin resin tube which enables simple manufacture of the crosslinked olefin resin tube of a stable quality, reducing thermal deterioration of a resin, by using a method of crosslinking a silane-modified olefin resin with moisture.
In the present manufacturing method of the crosslinked olefin resin tube, olefin resin powder crushed mechanically at 0°C or above and having an average particle size of 50-500 μm, an ethylenically unsaturated silane compound and a radical forming agent, at least, are added to olefin resin pellets and mixed together, and then the mixture is supplied to a hopper of an extruder and melted and kneaded. The olefin resin is thereby modified with the ethylenically unsaturated silane compound and subjected to melt extrusion in the shape of a tube and the resin is made into a modified olefin resin tube. The tube is then brought into contact with moisture in the presence of a silanol condensation catalyst and is made into the crosslinked olefin resin tube.
