To provide a manufacturing method for an asphaltic elastic pavement material which imparts high strength and excellent durability to a paved surface by improving adhesion properties between a binder and rubber, and the elastic pavement material capable of being obtained by the manufacturing method.
This manufacturing method is used for manufacturing the elastic pavement material which contains the binder containing asphalt and an ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer, and rubber chips and/or rubber powder. The manufacturing method comprises a keeping step of keeping an obtained mixture at 100-190°C for 0.5-10 hours after the mixture is obtained by mixing at least the binder, and the rubber chips and/or the rubber powder together. In the elastic pavement material which is manufactured by the manufacturing method, the rubber chips and/or the rubber powder are/is swollen by the binder.
