To manufacture in a simple and inexpensive method a fuel cell member of low contact resistance made by bonding a porous conductive base material and separators with ribs.

The manufacturing method of the fuel cell member made by bonding the porous conductive base material and the separators with ribs includes the following processes. (1) a process of coating resin powder on respective one of surfaces of the porous conductive base material and the separators, (2) a process of having the porous conductive base material contact with the separators through the above resin, (3) a process of heating the resin above a temperature at which it melts when the resin is thermoplastic and above a temperature at which it hardens when the resin is thermosetting, while pressurizing, and (4) a process of carrying out pressurization and pressure releasing at least twice.
