Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a low-priced glass sealed thermistor.

CONSTITUTION: A thermistor element 1, on the surface of which a pair of thermistor electrodes 2a and 2b connected to element lead wires 3a and 3b, respectively, are formed, is set on a glass-sealing jig 4, and, at the interface between a sealing-glass tube 5 and the glass-sealing jig 34, inorganic powder insulating material 7 is arranged, and the welds 6a and 6b between the thermistor element 1 and thermistor electrodes 2a and 2b and element lead wires 3a and 3b are coated with the sealing-glass tube 5. Then, the glass tube 5 is melted, so that it forms a seal, and is fixed, thus the glass-sealed thermistor is obtained.
