Abstract:

To provide a simple method for manufacturing an integrated magnet body, having high dimensional accuracy and exhibiting superior corrosion resistance and adhesive strength.

The method for manufacturing the integral magnet body comprises step (1) for electrodepositing on the surface of respective magnet pieces a cationic electrodeposition coating material, which contains a thermosetting resin composition comprising an epoxy resin, having a sulfonium group and a propargyl group and has a minimum value of complex viscosity η in the thermosetting process of not smaller than 10 (Pa s); step (2) for provisionally drying individual magnet pieces electrodeposited in the process (1); step (3) for laminating the individual magnet pieces provisionally dried in step (2); and a step (4) for bonding and integrating the magnet pieces together, by heating the laminate, comprising a plurality of the magnet pieces laminated in step (3), to finish the thermosetting process of the thermosetting resin.
