Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a piston for an internal combustion engine which can reduce a cost by eliminating masking processing.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of a piston for an internal combustion engine has: a raw material forming process for forming a raw material having a cylindrical shape using aluminum or an aluminum alloy; a membrane forming process for forming alumite membranes at an apex face which is formed at one end side in the cylindrical shape in an axial direction, and a peripheral wall of one end side in the cylindrical shape; and a process for finishing the peripheral wall at one end side. Here, in the membrane forming process, the raw material may be gripped by externally fitting a ring member to the peripheral wall, and the apex face of the gripped raw material and the peripheral wall at one end side may be immersed in an electrolyte in which aluminum is dissolved.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
