Abstract:
To provide a method for economically manufacturing a powder which is used for slush molding and can give a molded article having the extremely low content of residual solvents in the resin, excellent in appearance free from whitening, pinholes and the like, and having sufficient resin strength.
The method for manufacturing a powder (D) for slush molding is characterized in that it involves steps of melting a thermoplastic resin (A), bringing a compressible fluid (B) into contact with the resin, allowing the obtained mixture (C) to expand under a reduced pressure, and separating the formed powder from the stream of the compressible fluid released from compression.
