Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a rare-earth magnet capable of improving residual magnetization by making distortion distribution uniform.SOLUTION: The manufacturing method includes the following steps of: a first step of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet precursor through first hot plasticity processing in which deformation is suppressed by bringing one side surface into a restricted state between two side surfaces parallel to a pressing direction of a sintered body and opposing each other and deformation is allowed by bringing the other side surface into a non-restricted state; and a second step of manufacturing a rare-earth magnet M through second hot processing in which deformation is suppressed by bringing a side surface S'2 which is in the non-restricted state in the first step, into the restricted state between two side surfaces S'1 and S'2 parallel to a pressing direction of the rare-earth magnet precursor S' and deformation is allowed by bringing the side surface S'1 which is in the restricted state in the first step, into the non-restricted state.
