Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method for manufacturing an impact absorption member being lightweight and high in impact absorption performance, in the manufacturing method of the impact absorption member for covering a surface of wood with a high strength member.SOLUTION: A manufacturing method of an impact absorption member 10 comprises wood 12 for receiving an impact load along the extending direction of woody fiber and high strength fiber 20 wound so as to enclose the outer periphery in the extending direction of the woody fiber 12a of the wood 12 and having specific strength of steel fiber or more, and comprises a compression heating process of providing contraction wood by contracting-drying the wood 12 by heating the wood 12 in a compressed state in the vertical direction to the extending direction of the woody fiber 12a, a winding process of providing a fiber winding body by winding and fixing the high strength fiber 20 so as to enclose the outer periphery in the extending direction of the woody fiber 12a to the contraction wood and a moisture absorption process of expanding the contraction wood up to a state of the wood 12 in a normal state by absorbing moisture to the fiber winding body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
