To provide the manufacturing method of a support for a lithographic printing plate, by which a lithographic printing form original plate excellent both in resistance to dirt and in plate wearability can be obtained by employing alternating current electrolysis in aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid.
In this manufacturing method of the support for the lithographic printing plate, the support for the lithographic printing plate is obtained by applying at least an electrochemical roughening treatment using the triangular wave alternating current in the aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid and an electrochemical roughening treatment using the alternating current in the aqueous solution containing hydrochloric acid in this order to an aluminum plate.
