Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing toner particles that generate less streaks even in high-speed printing.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing toner particles includes: a preparation step of preparing a fluid dispersion containing water-insoluble inorganic fine particles (A); a granulation step of adding a polymerizable monomer composition containing a polymerizable monomer, colorant, and a polar resin having a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 60.0°C or more to the fluid dispersion to form particles of the polymerizable monomer composition in the fluid dispersion; and a polymerization step of polymerizing the polymerizable monomer contained in the particles of the polymerizable monomer composition to generate toner particles. The polymerization step includes additional addition step of adding water-insoluble inorganic fine particles (B) into a polymerization reaction system; when the number average particle diameter of the water-insoluble inorganic fine particles (A) is D1(A), 50nm≤D1(A)≤200nm is satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: None
