Abstract:
To provide a quick scroll to POI.
A map display apparatus for displaying POI on a map includes: operation means (2) of scrolling up and down the map; map storage means (4) for storing map data including POI data; drawing means (1a) of reading map data from the map storage means and of deploying the data to drawing data for screen display; detection means (1b) of detecting scroll operation by the operation means; and control means (1c) of displaying a map including a present position based on the drawing data and of scrolling up and down a displayed map in a detected operation direction when scroll operation by the operation means is detected. The control means changes a scroll speed according to an existing POI.
