PURPOSE: To conduct a fire fighting activity in the case where a fire fighter cannot approach a fire on the sea or at seaside land.
CONSTITUTION: A vertical support part 2b is attached on an upper surface center position of disk part 2a to form a floating body 2. Propellers 4 are respectively installed via support shafts 3 at outside flat surface diagonal positions of disk part 2a at a lower part of floating body 2. Turning motors 5 for rotating the support shafts 3 are installed in the disk parts 2a of floating body 2 so that directions of the propellers 4 can be changed by the turning motors 5. A fire extinguishing nozzle 7 is elevatably installed on the vertical support part 25 of floating body 2. The fire extinguishing nozzle 7 is elevated and depressed by an elevating motor 6, thus constituting a maritime fire fighting robot 1 which can travel on the sea. The maritime fire fighting robot 1 is connected to a support ship with a fire hose 12 and an electric power/signal cable 13 via a rotary joint 17 so that the robot 1 can travel to a fire site for fire fighting activity by remote operation from the support ship. Furthermore, a TV camera 8 and a position transmitter 9 are installed on the robot 1.
