To provide a marking base material and a lamination base material using it which have transparency without loss of an original physical property in marking by irradiation of a laser beam, can subject to clear marking, and have excellent visibility and transparency without disappearing the marking semipermanently.
A marking base material 10 has a base material body 11 and a coating film 12 which is covered over a surface of the base material body 11. The coating film 12 is represented by TiNxOy wherein 0.1≤x≤1.0, 0≤y≤1.9, contains a titanium suboxide powder 12a which is oxidized by the laser beam and changed from block to white and a binder 12b which comprises either one of a resin, silica or silicone, and contains the titanium suboxide powder 12a of 0.01 wt.%-2.0 wt.% when the binder 12b is 100 wt.%. The base material body 11 comprises either one of the resin, ceramics, metal or semiconductor.
