Abstract:
To provide a mat material capable of preventing a mat from being torn without increasing an amount of organic binder.SOLUTION: A mat material for winding around an object to be wounded, comprises an organic binder and an inorganic fiber. The mat member has a first main surface and a second main surface located on the opposite side of the first main surface. When the mat member is divided into three layers in a thickness direction: a first main surface side layer; an intermediate layer; a second main surface side layer, a ratio of the tensile strength of the second main surface side layer to the tensile strength of the first main surface side layer is 1.2 to 2.2, and a ratio of the breaking elongation of the second main surface side layer to the breaking elongation of the first main surface side layer is 1.1 to 1.3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
