PURPOSE: To separate stably cells with high resolving power by packing a cell separating material which consists of a sintered hydroxy.calcium.apatite body and has 50W2,000μm average grain size into a column which has an inlet and outlet for a cell suspended liquid and is disposed with a filter for preventing the dispersion of the cell separating material.
CONSTITUTION: The filter 3 is disposed in the column 1 having the inlet 4 and outlet 5 for the cell suspended liquid and the separating material 2 consisting of the sintered hydroxy.calcium.apatite body is packed therein. The material 2 having 50W2,000μm average grain size is preferably used and the calcination temp. thereof is preferably made about 600W1,350°C. The separating efficiency of the cells is improved by using such separator.
