Abstract:
To provide a material for a magnetic head slider, the material achieving suppression of the occurrence of chipping in the magnetic head slider.
The material for the magnetic head slider is composed of a sintered compact of a raw material composition containing Al2O3, TiC and AlN, and having 20 to 150 pts.wt. TiC and 0 to 10 pts.wt. AlN for 100 pts.wt. Al2O3.
