PURPOSE: To provide a material supplying device which can effectively slacken a bridge of even such materials as easily entangled with each other to form the bridge, thereby ensuring smooth supply of the material.

CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a chute 1, which is arranged in the longitudinal direction so as to guide a material 11 and which possesses a delivery port 1a at its forward end, a hopper 6,-in which a discharge port 6a whose width is contracted in the width direction faces downward and which is arranged over the chute 1 so as to communicate with the chute 1, a material passing hole 7, which is made in a front wall of the hopper 6 intersecting with the chute 1 in such a manner that the material can passes therefrom, and a vibrator 2, which generates the vibration to give forward-looking thrust to the material 11 lying on the chute 1. Meanwhile, this device is constituted of a push rod 8, which gives after-looking external force toward the inside from the outlet side of the material passing hole 7, a delivery valve 3, which discharges intermittently the material 11 arriving at the delivery port 1a of the chute 1, and a controller 10, which operates the push rod 8 at the number of cycles (per minute) that is more than the number of discharging cycles of the delivery valve 3.
