Title:
MATRIX CONVERTER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2015080292
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To switch commutation control while preventing precision of an output voltage from being reduced by a commutation failure, even after the commutation control is started.SOLUTION: A matrix converter includes a power conversion part, a command generation part and a commutation control part. The power conversion part includes a plurality of bidirectional switches between a plurality of input terminals connected to phases of an AC power source and a plurality of output terminals connected to phases of a load. The commutation control part performs the commutation control by controlling the plurality of switching elements in accordance with a commutation pattern including a plurality of steps in the case where a control command is changed. Further, in the case where the control command is changed during the execution of the commutation control, the commutation control part executes a takeover step of turning on one switching element that forms the bidirectional switch, to be a switching destination of the next commutation control, and then starts executing the next commutation control from a step in the middle.
