Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve S/N by providing weights recorded as q discrete values and receiving the same component of an input vector by m input lines (m≤n) and setting the weight within a specific range and providing each input line with a specific input multiplier.

CONSTITUTION: Weights recorded as q discrete values are provided, and m input lines receive the same component of the input vector, and the weight of the input vector is set within the range of 20 to 2n, and each input line is provided with an input multiplier M multiplying qp, and the value of (p) is 0 to m-1. For example, analog multipliers M1 to M5 which multiply a strung Sj and a vector ei by 20 to 2n are provided in input lines respectively, and weights of corresponding synapses are Wji(0) to Wji(4) and weighting operation is performed above (in multipliers M1 to M5) respective input lines. Next, addition is analogically performed with respect to Sj. Thus, excellent S/N is obtained.
