Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smooth the switching of a gain, and to clearly change the switching by using a mean N-th power means for a method for synthesizing a control signal.
SOLUTION: Rectified currents &verbar I6&verbar of input currents inputted to a signal synthesizer 100 are compared with currents I8 from a current source, and when the input currents are smaller, an output voltage V2 is turned into a constant gain area in proportion to the size of an input voltage V1, and set by the currents I8. On the other hand, when the input currents are larger, the output voltage V2 is turned into a constant voltage output area for outputting a constant voltage regardless of the size of the input voltage V1. Thus, the switching of the gain of a output voltage characteristic from the constant gain area to the constant voltage output area can be clearly changed by control currents I3 obtained by N-power averaging and synthesizing the inputs of the rectified currents &verbar I6&verbar being an input signal inputted to the signal synthesizer 100 and the currents I8 of the current source.
