PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a measuring apparatus by which a strain on a flange sheet face is measured at a site by a method wherein a rotating body supported by a stage which is fine adjustable backward and forward as well as right and left is installed at the lower end of a column, a dial gage is made to protrude horizontally from the rotating body and an L-shaped metal fitting which is fixed to the peripheral edge of a flange is attached to the tip of a link.
SOLUTION: A sliding metal fitting 2 which is inserted and fitted so as to be slidable up and down around a column 1 is attached, and a sublink support and bearing metal fitting 3 is attached at the lower end part of the column 1. Main links 4 are shaft-mounted on, and attached to, the metal fitting 2 radially by pins 5, ends, on one side, of sublinks 6 are shaft-supported by pins 7 at the metal fitting 3, an ends on the other side are shaft-mounted and attached by pins 8 in intermediate positions of the links 4. When the metal fitting 2 is moved up and down, the links 4, 6 rise as shown by chain lines. The links 4 are opened, mounting levers 12 at L-shaped metal fittings 10 are passed through bolt holes, for coupling, in a flange F, tightening bolts 13, 14 are brought into pressure contact with the tip edge of the flange, and the links 4, 6 and a stage 18 are stabilized. A measuring lever 25a at a dial gage 25 is brought into contact with the sheet face of the flange F so as to perform a measurement.
