Abstract:
To enable operation of an arm to be controlled an in a preferable mode according to a circumferential situation.SOLUTION: A medical arm system is provided that comprises: an arm portion configured in such a manner that at least a part thereof is can be bent and the arm portion can support a medical instrument; and a control unit controlling an operation of the arm portion in such a manner that a position and a posture of an action point are controlled, the action point being set with at least a part of the arm portion as reference. An acquisition unit acquiring information of a circumferential space is supported by at least a part of the arm portion, the control unit generates or updates third information related to at least the circumferential space of the action point, on the basis of the first information acquired by the acquisition unit and the second information related to the position and the posture of the action point, according to the state of the arm portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
