The medium conveying device is provided with (a) a first conveying roller and a second conveying rollers provided so as to be left in a conveying route of the medium and intermittently conveying the medium by corotation; (b) a control part for controlling rotation of the first conveying roller based on a first action profile for indicating predetermined motion of the first conveying roller and controlling rotation of the second conveying roller based on a second action profile for indicating predetermined motion of the second conveying roller at intermittent conveying of the medium; and (c). (d) The control part obtains difference of a conveying amount of a first conveying amount of the medium by the first conveying roller and a second conveying amount of the medium by the second conveying roller at the intermittent conveying of the medium, changes the first action profile based on the obtained difference of the conveying amount, and controls rotation of the first conveying roller based on the changed first action profile.
