Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a melamine resin molding material for injection molding having excellent cylinder stability in injection molding and capable of forming a molding having excellent appearance free from thin spot and color shading and excellent physical properties such as crack resistance and insertion resistance.
CONSTITUTION: The objective melamine resin molding material for injection molding contains (A) 100 pts.wt. of a melamine/formaldehyde resin, (B) 20-60 pts.wt. of pulp and (C) 0.1-5 pts.wt. of a higher fatty acid. The material is preferably produced by mixing preparatorily dried popcorn-like powder produced by so-called wet-process, a powdery melamine resin, a powdery pulp and a higher fatty acid ester, etc., heating and kneading the obtained powdery melamine resin mixture with a hot roll, etc., and again crushing the obtained preformed material.
