PURPOSE: To decompose dioxins contained in the produced gas of a melting and gasifying furnace which requires small consumption of carbon-based auxiliary fuel and capable of being stably operated.
CONSTITUTION: A melting and gasifying equipment for waste is equipped with a waste charging device 26 provided in the upper part 13 of a furnace main body, a supply pipe 21 of air for fluidization and combustion provided in the lower part 11 of the furnace main body, a feeder 35 of an auxiliary fuel provided in the furnace main body and a controlling device 30 for monitoring and controlling the melting state of waste. A fixed layer 40 packed with coke or coal is provided following a melting and gasifying furnace 10 of combustible waste wherein the gas temperature of an outlet is regulated to 900-1200°C.
