To provide a member for an arm constructed of a joint part and a member main body connected together, provided with a uniformly formed junction part for connecting the joint part and the member main body together, and manufactured at a low cost.
The arm member A1 is provided with two joint parts 20, 20 and a straight rod-shaped member main body 10 connecting the joint parts together. A projection part 22 is formed integrally in the joint part 20. A projecting end part 22a of the projection part is machined by cutting so as to be provided with a circular cross sectional shape in the outer circumferential face. The member main body 10 is produced of a cut product formed by slicing an extruded material in a plane crossing the extruding direction at right angles. An end part 13 of the member main body is formed into a cylindrical shape by cutting. The projecting end part 22a of the projection part in the joint part is abutted to the end part 13 of the member main body, and when an abutting part T is connected under this condition, the joint part 20 and the member main body 10 are connected together.
