Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the resistivity against erosion by forming a layer of metal compound whose Vicker's hardness is over 2,000 at room temperature, on a turbine nozzle blade at the part against which solid particles collide. CONSTITUTION:A layer of metal compound of carbide, nitride or boride whose Vicker's hardness at room temperature is over 2,000 is formed on a nozzle blade 15 at the part against which solid particles 17 collide, that is, at the part on the outlet trailing side 15a. Consequently, the hardness of the surface of the nozzle blade 15 can be made higher than that of the solid particles 17.
