Abstract:
To provide a membrane electrode assembly for a water electrolysis device, in which deterioration in water electrolysis efficiency during long-term operation is suppressed.SOLUTION: The membrane electrode assembly for the water electrolysis device comprises an electrolyte membrane with a catalyst layer in which the catalyst layers are bonded to both sides of the electrolyte membrane and gas diffusion layers disposed on both sides of the electrolyte membrane with the catalyst layer, in which a peel strength (CaP) between the electrolyte membrane with the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer disposed on a cathode surface thereof is greater than a peel strength (AnP) between the electrolyte membrane with the catalyst layer and the gas diffusion layer disposed on an anode surface thereof.SELECTED DRAWING: None
