Abstract:
To provide a memory card allowing rewriting to new firmware without exchanging a ROM holding firmware even when a flaw is confirmed in the firmware of a microcomputer incorporated in the memory card.
This memory card has a flash memory 3, an iRAM 6, and a CPU 5 operating according to the firmware. The firmware inputted from a host terminal 1 is written into the flash memory 3, and is transferred to the iRAM 6 thereafter. The CPU 5 operates by the firmware stored in the iRAM 6.
