Abstract:
PURPOSE: The title resin capable of prolonging the high germicidal properties, having one or more types of amino acid and specific imino acid as a chelating group which are partly or wholly linked to metallic ions.
CONSTITUTION: One or more types selected from amino, imino acetic, iminodiacetic, iminopropionic, and iminodipropionic acids as chelating groups are partly or wholly linked to metallic ions selected from Hg, Cd, Zn, Cu, Ag, Au, and Pt to give a chelate resin having germicidal properties. The resin is incorporated with one or more types of PE, PP, PS, ABS, and PMMA, and formed into pellets, sheets, fibers or spheres, and may be used as a germicidal chelate one.
