Title:
METAL BELT FOR STEPLESS TRANSMISSION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3935060
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the lowering of the durability caused by the contact of an inner edge of the width direction for the metal ring aggregate with the neck part of a metal element.
SOLUTION: A metal belt for the stepless transmission is composed of a metal ring aggregate 31 laminating two or more unedged shape metal rings and many metal elements 32 forming a saddle face 44 that gives the crowning to a ring slot 35 fitting the metal ring aggregate 31 and transmits the drive force by hanging and rolling the belt on a drive pulley and a driven pulley. A position of a peak p of the above crowning is made bias to the outside on the width direction from the center position s on the width direction of the saddle face 44 and the outer edge on the width direction of the metal ring aggregate 31 is touched to a V-face 45 of the pulley. Also the ratio between the crowning curvature radius Rs of the saddle face 44 of the metal elements 32 and the crowning curvature radius Rr of the metal ring aggregate 31 in the free condition is set up according to the load given to the metal ring aggregate 31.
