To provide a metal coating compsn. which can be cured at normal temp., has characteristics, such as mechanical strengths and acid resistance, at least equivalent to those of conventional phenol-epoxy resin coating materials, is excellent in resistances to heat and oil, and can prolong the life of pipeline for petroleum, etc.
This compsn. is a mixture comprising an epoxy resin, an epoxy- modified silicone resin which is a block copolymer of a silicone resin with an epoxy resin, an aminosilane coupling agent, and an org. solvent or is a mixture comprising an epoxy resin, an epoxy-modified silicone resin which is a block copolymer of a silicone resin with an epoxy resin, an aminosilane coupling agent, a resol phenol resin having a number-average mol.wt. of 100-1,500, and an org. solvent.
