Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal container for beverage excellent in gas barrier properties in which there exists no possibility of corrosion of the container with sulfur dioxide and there exists little absorption and sorption of flavor, having excellent functional adaptability, which its inner face is coated with a resin composition containing no vinyl chloride.
SOLUTION: The metal container characterized by coating the inner face of the metal container with the resin composition and the resin composition comprising an epoxy-acryl copolymer (1) formed by copolymerizing an acryl resin (A) and an epoxy resin (B) in a range of (A)/(B)=12/88-35/65 [wherein the acryl resin (A) is constituted of 30-60 wt.% methacrylic acid, 35-70 wt.% styrene and 0-20 wt.% arbitrarily incorporated copolymerizable monomer and the epoxy resin (B) incorporates 5-45 wt.% phenoxy resin]; and 1-7 pts.wt. phenol resin (2) to 100 pts.wt. the epoxy-acryl copolymer (1), is contained.
